Artifacts include examples of Adobe building construction, Native America art, and everyday objects left behind by early Spanish and American settlers. The visitor center is also a travel resource for visitors to the area, with information on the wide variety of local activates and attractions.
UofA Alfie Norville Gem & Mineral Museum
Also located in the Pima County Courthouse, the 1100 square meter museum houses the famous University of Arizona gem and mineral collection. High security casework housing the collection included specialty lighting of very specific wavelengths that caused many of the specimens to fluoresce. The museum includes scientific exhibits describing the chemical composition of the minerals and where they were found.
